I-95 Freight Corridor: Maine to Virginia via Philly

Why North Philadelphia and Cinnaminson, NJ sit in a useful spot on the East Coast freight corridor, and how to plan regional loads from Maine to Virginia.

By JA Transportation & Warehousing ·

The East Coast corridor between Maine and Virginia is one of the busiest freight regions in the country. Philadelphia and South Jersey sit near its middle, which makes them a practical place to store, sort, and dispatch freight in both directions.

Why the location matters

Our Philadelphia warehouse is in North Philadelphia with access to city businesses and major highways. Our Cinnaminson hub on US-130 serves South Jersey distribution. Together they let freight move north toward New York and New England or south toward Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia.

Planning a regional load

  • Share pickup and delivery ZIP codes — check them with our ZIP checker.
  • Pick the right equipment: 16 ft or 26 ft box trucks, or a 53 ft dry van.
  • Tell us if you need a liftgate — not every truck has one.
  • Give timing windows so dispatch can plan the route.

Combine transport with storage

Many shippers stage freight in pallet storage and release it in smaller deliveries, or use cross-docking to split one inbound load into many outbound routes.
